I definitely know a thing or two about the importance of self
Listen, I have been the one to always put everyone else’s needs before my own. It always resulted in me feeling completely overwhelmed and as well as letting myself go. I tend to ask myself, “how did I get here”?
Well, the answer is pretty evident. I clearly wasn’t focusing on my mental state and how it was affecting me. I practically brainwashed myself into thinking other people matter more than myself. Oh and let’s not to mention the time where I always said YES to everything. NO is a powerful word, my friends. My advice to you is to say it often!
I started to throw in the towel. This did not mean I was not going to be selfless at times, but I was going to ensure I made more time for myself. I had created a long list (50 to be exact) of self-care ideas that will PROMOTE self-love in every way possible!!
