Cheap and makeup put into the same sentence may deter others from buying. Cheap foundations may leave the skin looking blotchy and could even cause skin reactions. But nowadays, these affordable companies are really stepping up their game and deserve to be recognized.
In today’s post, I am going to mention some amazing underrated makeup brands that live up to their hype. Some of you guys have probably heard of while others you might have not.
These companies will have you living fabulously on a budget!
PS: Some other amazing companies that are not going to be mentioned in this post (because it is well known for its affordable products & great quality) is ELF and Wet & Wild. These companies are widely known and are not completely underrated!
Cheap makeup brands that are completely underrated
Essence
I really can’t express the love I have for this brand. Yes, these products are cheap. But the quality will wow you! I’ve tried out their false lash effect mascara, blushes, waterproof liners, clear gel lash/brow primer, and their soft contouring lip liner. Let’s just say, AMAZING quality. Essence can be found at your local ULTA stores.
Colourpop
Colourpop // This brand has been a staple in my beauty collection. We’re talking about extremely pigmented eyeshadows! This brand does not disappoint and will continue to spread awareness on how luxury products do NOT have to be expensive. They are constantly running deals on their website and can also NOW be found in all ULTA stores.
Makeup Revolution
They are quickly gaining recognition from duping a lot of high-end products. If you have yet to try out their most famous concealer (dupe of shape tape tarte concealer) you’re missing out on all of the hype!
BH Cosmetics

This company has been around for years and was actually the first company I ordered my first eyeshadow palette from. It definitely brings back memories! Sadly, I still don’t see enough people raving about this brand. I’ve bought a couple of palettes this past year and was completely shook. I had forgotten how amazing this brand was because I’ve ventured out trying all the other “hyped” products. If you’ve forgotten about BH cosmetics, let me tell you-their pigmentation is still on point. If not, better!
CColor
I am not going to lie. Before TikTok, I had no clue about Ccolor. It’s one of those that you walk right on past because you are unsure about the quality and because you haven’t heard about it before. After watching a few TikTok’s, I’ve decided to go out and buy this eyeshadow down below. The metallic shades are so beautiful! I love the bronze and gold shades. It’s perfect for any given occasion and/or daily look! It’s right under $13.00 for 15 shades!
Flower Beauty
Everything from blushes, lipsticks, eyeshadow palettes, and foundation I am just a huge fan of Drew Barrymore cosmetic brand. I don’t hear a lot of rave about this company, so here you have it. I am currently hooked on their hydrating setting spray. It helps my makeup lasts all day and smells like legit Flowers! I’ve also swatched a few of her eyeshadow palettes and let me tell you, they are PIG-MEN-TED!
Sleek
So I first discovered sleek at a local Target when I was looking for a new matte lip to try. That was less than 2 years ago. I tried out their sleek lip mattes and it caught me by surprise how pigmented it was and why no one was really spreading the word out. It could be because it made it’s debut in the U.S. less than a few years ago. I highly recommend this brand.
LA Girl
Some people are STILL sleeping on LA Girl. I know, they use to be very cheap and crappy quality. I remember when their foundations used to leave blotchy spots all over my face and It was just not pretty. Over the course of 5 years, they have become one of my favorite drugstore brands. I enjoy their concealers to contour my face and they also have a fabulous bronzer! If you’re still considering LA girl cheap, my friends? You gotta look past the cost and past history with them. Their quality has stepped up, significantly!
Profusion
This beauty brand has been around for so many years and has yet to be recognized. Their eyeshadow palettes are inexpensive. Since it is inexpensive, just try out these makeup palettes down below and you will not be disappointed with the pigment!
I know right? How can these me underrated? I feel like some of these are starting to become widely known but these companies have been out for YEARS! Just now making a name for themselves. Insane. Any of the products I recommend above are seriously the ones I can vouch for today! They are pigmented, long-lasting, and a quality inexpensive product. Some people think that the inexpensive products are not it. Just don’t knock it until you personally try it!
