Mom beauty hacks
- Use a versatile makeup product // For an example, I use physician formula shimmer strips as a bronzer, highlighter, and eyeshadow. There are also days I use the Milani bronzer on my cheeks, to contour areas around my face, and to add a natural brown shade to my eyelids. A multi-use makeup product makes a fast makeup routine, no doubt about it.
- Use a BB cream // Depending if you are in a rush in the morning, it’s super easy to apply BB creams! The reason why I love them so much is that it brightens up your face while blurring all the imperfections. It makes you look awake and it’s super light-weight and melts onto your skin quickly. You don’t need a mirror to apply this either, so it makes a good on-the-go product. My favorite one is the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream. For the summertime, I wear the COVERGIRL Clean Matte BB Cream it is suitable for oily skin.
- Own a pair of black leggings // Now, I know most women out there have these handy and if you don’t, go buy at least one! It’s so nice to not have to put too much thought into an outfit. You can wear leggings dressy or casually. My favorite 2 pack leggings are from Amazon and I swear that these are super comfortable, not see-through whatsoever, and soft to the touch!
- Have a portable perfume // Having perfume on just makes you feel more approachable and presentable. This perfume bottle from Amazon has been a lifesaver for when I am in a rush and forgotten to freshen up with a lovely scent. I just fill the bottle up with my existing favorite perfume. It really does come in handy in times of need.
- Apply dry shampoo at night // This method has seriously changed my haircare routine. You just apply it at night before bed and let it consume all the oils so that when you awake your hair is good to go! My favorite dry shampoo is Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo.
- Use brow gel // We all know how time-consuming brows can be. Yes, we want them perfect. But some days, it is just not happening when you’re in a rush. Brow gels make it so much easier to add some shape to your brows effectively and swiftly. I literally apply the gel in less than 1 minute. Time saver hack! Affordable/recommended brow gel-Maybelline Brow Fast Sculp
- Use a wrinkle release spray // It is impossible to iron your clothes in the morning, get the kids up and dress, finish your morning beauty routine, and BE ON TIME. As a mom, this is just too much time consuming ironing the wrinkles out. But, luckily if you didn’t know by now there is a wrinkle release spray where you spray as needed and do a gentle tug then boom, your outfit is good to go! Check out this wrinkle release spray, it’s amazing and it smells good too!
- Brush your teeth in the shower // I do this just about every day. It makes getting ready just that much quicker for me in the morning. If you haven’t done it, try it. Another routine saved in the shower!
- Always have an on-the-go cosmetic bag // Include all of your emergency goodies! I like to keep gum, lip balm, hand sanitizer, mascara, and hair clips, scrunchies, and bobby pins. Just keep all of your staple beauty products in these bags just in case! Here’s a spacious cosmetic bag that you’ll love!
- Overnight heatless curls // Now, I love to braid my hair the night before so that when I awake I can unbraid it and already have a hairstyle! It’s a simple and easy routine to do at night where you’re not rushing at all! Here are some ideas for doing heatless curls;
- Braid your hair
- Pillow Rollers (buy from amazon)
- Headband Method (youtube video)
- Waist tie from your robe – yes, your robe! (youtube video)
