I am so happy it’s Springtime. I can’t even tell you how exciting it is to no longer go outside with the weather being under 50 degrees! I enjoy the in-between hot and cold weather (65-75 degrees). What I look forward to the most about Spring is transitioning my makeup look from sultry/dark shades to a more vibrant/pastel shades.

Spring screams nothing more than colorful! Anything with pastel, peachy tones, to vibrant shades are the best way to go to achieve the “seasonal spring makeup look”. You can create so many beautiful spring makeup look by just adding a pop of color.

Spring Drugstore Makeup Essentials

1. Lightweight Foundation Coverage

In the warmer weather, I don’t enjoy wearing a heavy foundation. I don’t like that cakey feel to my face and I don’t like it when my makeup melts throughout the day. I am sure you guys could agree to this. So I try to find long-lasting wear foundations that go well with my combination skin that is breathable. When I discovered the infallible products, I fell in love! I seriously vouch for their infallible line as it truly is long-lasting and gives you a flawless result while feeling light-weight. Depending on your preference, here are two foundations I prefer.

The Infallible 24 hrs freshwear had to be mentioned because It’s what I wear just about every day now. I have yet to try newer foundations, I am just hooked. I have combination skin, and this is what works best for me. The Infallible pro-glow (dewy foundation) because of those suffering from dryer skin, this might be something you would lean towards! Especially since it offers that illuminating/refreshing/long-lasting results.

2. Illuminating Skin Product

For Spring I always try and search for products that have refreshing and glowing results. I had to choose Lumi Glotion on this one. It leaves your skin illuminating like no other! When I am trying to look like I barely have makeup on my skin (but I don’t want to look like death) this is my go-to! After putting this product on my face, I blend in a CC cream over it and that is all! No foundation was necessary.

3. Illuminating/hydrating primer

A primer is a perfect place to start looking because whatever primer you end up using, will affect the longevity of your makeup.

For Spring, I only reach for illuminating primers. I prefer the Physician Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer. This product is seriously the best to use with a lightweight foundation. Just a heads up, if you add any highlighters on top of this primer you will most likely regret it. The primer alone does a fantastic job giving you that subtle glow without looking harshly blinding.

As for my favorite hydrating primers, I have two! One being the E.L.F hydrating primer infused with Vitamins A, C, and E while the other primer being NYX Hydratouch enriched with chamomile, green tea, and ginseng root extract. Both of these primers are amazing for the skin. They both minimize pores and also leaves an illuminating/healthy glow. So whichever you choose, I am sure you’re going to tell a difference in your makeup and most of all, your skin!

So pick your obsession out of the three primers mentioned, you won’t be disappointed!

4. Plumping Gloss/Conditioning Gloss

Another amazing gloss to have would be the NYX butter gloss. I currently only have Creme Brûlée which is a very natural color, but I am looking to collect more colors in this line. This lip gloss is perfect for everyday wear and generally lasts up to 4 hours for me. I blot the excess gloss so that the product isn’t overly sticky.

5. Hydrating Setting Spray

I am all about a hydrating setting spray during the warmer seasons. Flower beauty seal the deal is an absolute go-to! This was in my “Current drugstore makeup I am in loving in 2019” post. I have owned the product for about 4 months now and used it just about every day since I bought it. To my surprise, I still have a 1/4 left in the bottle which is enough to last another month or so. A little goes a long way! 2 spritzes of this product and then I am done setting the face.

6. Lashes

I definitely had to throw this one in this post. Eylure has awesome REUSABLE lashes and I find that it looks way more natural on my eyelids. You all know how lashes can transform your makeup look in seconds. Pick your favorite go-to lashes and carry on your day.

7. Coral Tones/Pressed Powder Eyeshadows

Check out the swatches on this palette!! Incredible! When the Sweet Talk by ColourPop palette came out, I was stoked! The entire palette costs $18.00 and that to me is a steal! I love the coral/pink tones and the fact that they added some metallic/glitter eyeshadows – which are all my prefer colors and wants in a palette. The variety of colors in this palette is perfect for spring and summertime. Blendable, pigmented, and absolute stunning results!

8. Colorful Eyeshadows

If you’re all about bold and fun colors, the NYX Ultimate eyeshadow palette is definitely for you. If you are the type of person who wants something pigmented by one swatch than this palette may not be for you. If you wet your brush by a setting spray and then dip it into a color of choice, you will expect pigment! Overall, the colors are fully buildable and glide on smoothly. As for the colourpop single super shock eyeshadows, these are spectacular! I like the GlowStix and Slave2Pink super shock eyeshadows. Super pigmented and although it sucks to have to buy individuals (considering each cost roughly $5.00) it’s worth your money! 9. Blushes

NYX Sweet Cheeks palette is perfect if you’re looking for a variety of colors all in one. I am currently trying to minimize my makeup collection and this product really makes a difference in that factor. It’s the perfect on the go palette as well. It comes with 8 beautiful/pigmented shades. I find that it lasts all day and that to me is definitely a deal-breaker. I mean look at those colors! I recommend if you are trying to explore with different colors, this palette is perfect for you.

I wanted to include single blushes that I think deserve to be on this post. Milani Blushes are absolutely beautiful! Now fair warning, this product is pigmented (which you’re probably like HELL YES!). I have the Blossomtime Rose and let me tell you, a little goes a LONG way! Trust me on that. I enjoy matte blushes during the warmer seasons with a little shimmer, which is both! Shimmery and matte? Perfect for Springtime!

10. Bronzers

I wanted to mention this particular bronzer palette because it offers more than one shade. You get four perfect bronzers in one and the quality is really good! I like how all four colors are usable. Perfect for the cheekbones and contouring. I am picky with my bronzers, but I must say that Maybelline Master Bronzers are well worth the investment!

11. Highlighters

Wet & Wild is known for its affordable products and they don’t seem to disappoint me when I buy a product from their line. This is by far one of my favorite highlighters. It’s a very buildable highlighter as well. Please note if you don’t like “blinding” results, just use a light hand as it can give you a soft beautiful glow. Buy all four for just under $10.00. 12. All In One/Versatile makeup product

Who wouldn’t want a versatile makeup product? The shimmer strips are the best way to go! This is perfect for you if you like a highlight, bronzer, and an eyeshadow ALL IN ONE. They offer Vegas Strip and Sunset Strip. Vegas has more pink/light bronzer tones while the SunSet is perfect if you enjoy bronzing/golden tones. Both are super pigmented and leaves your skin looking tanner than before. I get a lot of compliments when applying it on the cheekbones. If you are looking for a multi-use product then look no further!

Extra Pop of colors recommendations:

So I figured I would add both of these as extra must-haves if you are looking for colorful and long-lasting eyeliner/gel liners. These eyeliners are super creamy! The formula is long-lasting and very pigmented. Adding a bright color liner makes a glam statement.
