Now that the warmer weather has arrived and summer is literally around the corner, now is the time to make sure we have all of our water-proof makeup collection in reach. Check out what I recommend this summer down below!
Drugstore makeup that you will need this summer
Infallible Pro-Glow & Pro-Matte // Starting with these two foundations; Infallible Pro-Glow and Infallible Matte are the BEST way to go this summer! Some people prefer having a luminous glow, while others prefer matte. I like to stick with lightweight and oil-free foundations during the summer.
Pro-Glow – BUY FROM AMAZON
Pro-Matte – BUY FROM AMAZON
Catrice Cosmetic // Without a face primer, how well do you think your foundation will hold on a hot summer day? It doesn’t hurt adding this into your beauty regime, as it helps to seal your foundation in place. Catrice has a lot of water-proof products and this one is by far my go-to for summer!
E.L.F. Primer // I added the ELF hydration primer because it’s always nice to have an alternative for different skin types! Sometimes, matte can be too drying! That’s why I prefer this primer. It’s super hydrating, affordable and most of all keeps my foundation from melting off.
Maybelline Palette Soda Pop & Lemonade Craze // This little palette is great for some summery-vibe type of looks. It offers 12 pigment shades & includes a few shimmery shades. Pros: The colors are blendable and work well with each other. It’s affordable and portable. I love how it includes some neutral shades to a few dramatic pop of colors. All shades are buildable and pigmented. Cons: Glitter “may” have some fallout – see pro tip below. Matte shades “can” be powdery if you are digging into your eyeshadow. I advise you to use a gentle hand to prevent that from happening.
Catrice Blush Box – water & sweatproof // Not enough people are talking about Catrice brand, but a lot of their products claims to be waterproof of some kind. The claims so far, are pretty accurate in my opinion! Their blushes are a staple in my summer collection! Here are a few swatches of the three I have now.
Maybelline Master Strobing Liquid // I prefer a liquid/jelly highlighter during the summertime because I feel like liquid does not RUB off whatsoever! This highlighter I certainly cannot live without and during the summertime, I only reach for this one. Very blendable with a beauty blender for a natural glow. A little goes a long way, so apply light-handed.
Infallible Full Wear Concealer // Perfect for combination/oily skin types. It does not crease and works great on covering up any imperfections on the skin.
LO’real Lash Paradise Mascara // The closest product to false lashes! It does the job like no other and adds extensions to your natural lashes. There are no clumps, makes them full with one application, and it lasts all day even in the 90° heat!
NYX Epic Liner // Out of all drugstore liners, I seriously only reach for this one. This is my everyday liner and it does exactly what it claims. It’s resistant to water, heat, tears, sweat, etc! On a hot summer day, this liner will not budge!!!
NYX Gel Brow // As seen in my “Current drugstore makeup I am loving in 2019“, this product goes a LONG way. The gel dries very quickly so you definitely need to work fast when applying. I’ve experienced no smudging and completely waterproof!
Revolution Cut Crease Concealer // This goes hand to hand with all eyeshadows I own. Without this affordable product, I find that my eyeshadows wear off throughout the day. It’s perfect for metallic/shimmery shades too as well as preventing any fallouts.
Catrice Prime & Fine Mattifying Powder // What drew me into wanting this translucent powder is that it says “waterproof”. This product is amazing for those who deal with oily skin. Wherever you are the oiliest, apply this powder and you will see the magic I am talking about. I can only imagine it will work in 90° weather.
Milani Make It Lasts // We all need a setting spray to make sure our makeup stays put! It literally is 16 hours long-lasting primer that helps seal everything in place.
Infallible lip paints // This lip paint is incredibly pigmented and long-lasting. I added a couple more of my favorite lip paints down below in the product recap for you to try out.
Milani Lip Plumper Gloss // I am all about lip plumpers. It has a high shine, nonsticky formula, and natural peptides to stimulate collagen and Hyaluronic Acid to fill and smooth lips over time. I much perfer hydrated lips during the summertime and this gloss does just that!
