Isn’t it so hard choosing the right foundation for your specific skin type? I can definitely relate. I have tried some foundations that my skin just did NOT agree with. I have also tried out ones that really made my face feel like a whole greaseball, which is not cute. Honestly, it’s all about trial and error. This is where I come into play. I have gathered my top 3 favorite foundations that are suitable for combination skin types and last up to 24 hours.
P.S.: This post is specifically targeted for combination skin types. Please keep in mind what works for me may not work for you. I always recommend for sensitive skin types to always test out a tiny dab of foundation on the skin first to see how your skin reacts to it.
TOP 3 drugstore foundations for combination skin and lasts up to 24 hours!
1) REVLON COLORSTAY: COMBINATION/OILY
Out of all Revlon’s foundations, I am loving this one! After a few uses, I notice my skin was much clearer. This might be because it contains salicylic acid to help control oil and works as an anti-inflammatory that can treat skin type problems such as acne. It does not look cakey at all on the skin and gives you a poreless finish. It is a medium to full coverage (true) and it hides any imperfections on the face. With someone with dark under eyes, this foundation really works well on lightening up the under eyes and blends perfectly on the skin. I have used a wet beauty sponge and a brush with this foundation and found that they both give the same results.
RECAP: It provides SPF 15, covers imperfections, medium buildable coverage, contains salicylic acid, 24 hours long wear, and offers combination/oily and dry skin version of this foundation.

2) INFALLIBLE 24 HOURS FRESH WEAR: ALL SKIN TYPES
It claims to be transfer-resistant, waterproof, and sweat-resistant. This is a staple in my collection! As someone with combination skin, I am in love with the flawless finish and long-lasting wear it gives me (see recent photo above). I have heard people with dry OR oily skin, loving this foundation! It has not caused any breakouts for me and it does not dry out my skin. If anything, it controls any oils that normally appear on my skin after a long day.
I know that it says it’s non-transferable but it really just depends. If I use a wet sponge to apply the foundation it is nontransferable. If I use a brush to apply the foundation I find that in some areas it will transfer. I highly recommend a wet sponge to apply this foundation, as it soaks up any excess foundation on the skin. If you don’t enjoy using a wet sponge, a blotting paper might do the trick to picking up any excess foundation.
RECAP: Transfer-resistant, waterproof, sweat-resistant, 24 hours long wear, for all skin-types, medium to buildable coverage, and completely lightweight on the skin.

3) L’ORÉAL INFALLIBLE PRO-MATTE 24HR: COMBINATION/OILY
I enjoy a foundation that does not feel like you have anything on your face. With this foundation, it gives you that pore-less/china-doll “goals” look! I can’t tell you how many times I have worn this and received so many compliments. It’s a buildable full coverage plus gives you long-lasting results. I just can’t get over the fact that it’s so lightweight on the skin, I literally forget I have the foundation on. I have seen that it controls the t-zone area during the summertime for me and because of that, I have been obsessed! Also, I find that using a brush works best with this foundation.
RECAP: Claims to be air-light with a matte finish, resists sweat and humidity, hides imperfections, up to 24 hours wear, oil-free formula, also comes in a different packaging PRO-GLOW foundation for dry skin, and total cover foundation.
